Save Sadiq Akabar Campaign – Give him Asylum don’t send him back to genocide in Dafur.

The campaign got of to a good start last week with over 130 delegates signing the petition at Nation Union of Students conference including the entire national executive. Also £40 was raise at a table sale at Lambeth College. The Website is now up and running http://savesadiq.t83.net which has a longer article on Sadiq’s case and model resolution to trade union and Student Union branches. We also now have an online petition http://www.petitiononline.com/Sadiq/petition.html which I encourage you to sign and pass on through what ever networks you have.

The report by channel 4 news and the guardian shows what is happen to people right now in Sudan that the home office is send back to.. People are also still being held in prison awaiting deportation.
